SF Duka String Art – You Bring the Idea. We Bring Everything Else.
String art is one of those crafts that looks like it requires a steady hand and a lot of patience until you realise it’s just nails in wood and string wrapped around them. The result looks far more deliberate than the process, which is exactly what makes it so satisfying.
You decide what you’re making – a word, a shape, initials, a geometric pattern – and we walk you through turning that idea into a finished piece. No experience needed. Just show up with something in mind.
The Craft
- Your Design, Your Call – Words, shapes, initials, geometric patterns. You decide what goes on the board and we help you get it there.
- Hammer, Nails, String – The whole process is tactile and straightforward. Map out your design, hammer in the nails, wrap the string. That’s it.
- Wood Block Base – Your finished piece sits on a solid wood block, ready to display as is.
- Colour Your Way – Pick your string colours from our available selection and build a piece that works for your space.
The Workshop Experience
A Saturday session at SF Duka. Bring your design idea and we’ll help you plan it out on the wood block before you start hammering. Pick your preferred session – morning (10am – 1pm) or afternoon (2pm – 5pm) – right here on this page.
