Description
The SF Duka Leso Tray – Built by Hand. Lined with Africa.
A wooden tray is useful. A wooden tray lined with a hand-picked African leso is something you actually want on your coffee table.
The Leso Tray is a half-day woodworking craft where you build a solid wooden tray from scratch and then finish it by lining the base with a leso fabric of your choice. The wood gives it structure. The leso gives it character. The combination gives it that thing where guests pick it up and ask where you got it.
The Design
- Hand-Built Wooden Tray: Cut, joined, and sanded by you or our team. Solid construction, clean lines.
- Leso-Lined Base : The bottom of the tray is finished with a beautiful African leso fabric, picked by you from our available selection.
- Two Materials, One Object : The contrast between raw timber and bold African print is the whole aesthetic. It works in a modern Nairobi apartment as well as it does in a traditional home.
Choose Your Experience
- Option 1: The Finished Piece (We’ll Build It For You) : We build the tray and line it with a leso in our Nairobi workshop. Delivered to your door, ready to use.
- Option 2: The Workshop Experience : A half-day Saturday session at SF Duka. You’ll cut, assemble, and sand your tray, then pick your leso and line the base yourself. Pick your preferred session – morning (10am – 1pm) or afternoon (2pm – 5pm) – right here on this page.
