Weaving looks complicated until you actually do it – then it’s just over, under, over, under, and suddenly you have something real in your hands. The SF Duka Weaving Coaster session is a beginner weaving craft that teaches you the basics of frame loom weaving in a single Saturday session. You leave with a coaster you made yourself and the mild smugness that comes with it.
The Craft
- Frame Loom Weaving : We provide the loom and walk you through the technique. No experience needed, no complicated patterns. Just the fundamentals done well.
- Your Thread, Your Colours : Pick your thread from our available selection and weave a coaster that actually matches your home.
- One Session, One Finished Piece : This is a single coaster build. Focused, achievable, and done within your session time.
The Workshop Experience
A Saturday session at SF Duka. We set up the loom, you pick your thread, and we walk you through the weave. By the end of your session you’ll have a finished coaster and a new skill you didn’t have when you walked in. Pick your preferred session – morning (10am – 1pm) or afternoon (2pm – 5pm) – right here on this page.
